I know this is old, but ._.

I cannot find the emerald theme at all.. I did like you said, but there is no emerald theme to be found. Not even by distracting the file within the .gz file.

Please help...

hey, i really like your theme but i'm really new to linux and when i install the theme it only does the window borders. When i try to install it into appearance it wont' show up, i don't know if thats a problem with appearance or what not. If you could help me get the rest of the theme that would be great because i love your theme. thanks

Where is the actual download link? I keep getting bounced to deviantart or to other themes, then get bounced back to here.

How does one make the windows and system menu transparent, as in the second screenshot for this theme? I've seen it a few times, but I've no idea how to do it. I'm not even sure what GUI component is responsible for the effect, so I don't know where to ask.

I think, this transparancy-effect is done with compiz; There is a way to assign properties to a program every time it is used, though i don't know right away how it is done

Open ccsm (compizconfig-settings-manager) then go to the one with opacity. You can add a new rule, such as class=Gnome-panel then set your desired transparency. It's quite user-friendly.

Your theme has a kind of similarity to the
Vortigo Skin http://www.gnome-look.org/content/show.php/show.php?content=55440

Both themes fit very well together.
Keep on with Your excellent work.

Hi :)
Can u please tell me how to get the transparent background like you have shown in the folder window and terminal in the preview image?

thanks

Report

yeah, just move the mouse cursor over the
window you want transparent, then hold
down alt and scroll on the mousewheel,
this requires compiz.

hope this helps!

Hi.

Sorry for the noob question, but how can I install and use the font package you are using on Ubuntu?

Best regards,

KTM

hmmmmmmm, I just followed the readme in
the package from the site I listed....

if that doesn't work there maybe another way, I'm
not sure what that would be... maybe the
artwiz fonts are available in the
ubuntu repositories... try searching
in synaptic on "artwiz".

hope this helps!

Thanks for the quick reply. I've found the artwiz package in the repository, but I can't find the font under system - preferences - appearance - Fonts. I followed this howto: http://www.ubuntugeek.com/howto-install-artwiz-fonts-in-ubuntu.html

...but still I can't find any fonts with the artwiz name?

Best regards,

KTM

I c, the fonts are not with the artwiz name
in the font options, they go by their real
name, for example , the one I use is simply
called "snap" and it is the best in my opinion.

If you still can't find them, I really recommend
you follow the readme in the package, since
you have bitmapped fonts enabled you should
see them after restarting x.

hope this helps!

I like it, seems we do have similar tastes :-)

I use the same icon set and sometimes the same background.

How did you manage to make the main menu scroll bar semitransparent?

Report

Thanks!

to make menues transparent:

add this in the opacity settings in ccsm

(type=Menu | PopupMenu | DropdownMenu)

set transparency to 80.. at least that's what
I have.

Hope this helps!

Is it possible to add a button for the case where there is a help button appearing on the top window ? It would be nice.

By the way, great theme!
