on the screenshots I can see your system tray is transparent, how do you do this? is it a beryl option?

right click on the panel and select "properties" ... then slide the transparency bar to increase transparency... you must click "use solid color" first.

How do I get this to work in KDE's konsole?

Settings > Configure Konsole, Schema tab. On the right side there's a "Background" box where you can click on the button with "..." in it and browse for a background image.

It has a beryl theme, but the transparent terminal windows is not it. You can do that without beryl, so why you name it like that?. It looks better with transparent terminal windows only? (I think is kinda cute so i vote in favor, but the name is weird).
